Making Your Ayurvedic Turmeric Tea
Step One – Making the Paste
Combine ¼ cup of Ayurvedic Turmeric Tea Powder with ½ cup of water in a pan over a low heat.
Stir continuously until the powder and water have combined to form a thick paste, this will take around five to ten minutes, so be patient.
Once you have made the paste, allow this mixture to cool, place the turmeric paste in a glass jar in the fridge. This mixture will keep in the fridge for up to one week.
Step Two – Making the Ayurvedic Turmeric Tea Drink
Over a low-medium heat combine your turmeric paste with a small amount of the milk, keep stirring and adding more milk until you have removed all of the lumps from the mixture.
Add the honey and ghee or oil and heat the mixture through.
*** To make a smoother, creamier drink, use a stick mixer, battery operated milk foamer or coffee steamer to properly combine the oil. ***
Pour the contents of your warm Ayurvedic Turmeric Tea into your favourite mug & enjoy.
Organic turmeric, organic rosehip, organic long pepper, organic ginger, organic black pepper, organic cinnamon, and organic cardamom powder.
I like this drink, have had it a few times now and actually prefer it to coffee. I’m not big on teas so it’s a good alternative for me. The milk steamer on our coffee machine definitely helps disperse the oil nicely. Cheers for posting the recipe.
Delicious, I made a batch tonight & asked my partner if he would like to try some. Of course he was scared but loved it and asked if it was easy to make i have made a big batch for the girls to try at work tomorrow & I'm sure they will love it as well.
