Directions to Sundala Health Centre from Queensland

Ok, so you've got your naturopathic appointment booked at Sundala Health Centre in Lismore, fuelled up the car, you're on your way, but not sure how to get here.

If you are travelling from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Tweed Heads and Queensland, follow our guidelines for getting to our health centre in Lismore safely, especially during the rainy season.

There's a couple of ways to get to Lismore, although if we've had a fair bit of rain some roads will get flooded and be closed. This guide will help you get to Lismore even if the usual roads go under in a period of heavy rain.

The recent opening of the Ewingsdale to Tintenbar section of the M1 has made travelling on this section much, much easier and safer, with full dual carriageway. Previously the best bet was to exit at the Bangalow exit and drive to Lismore through Bangalow, Clunes, and Bexhill. This route, whilst quite scenic, is a winding road, and is probably not the safest way to get here. It's also the road that will get flooded and will be closed.

Start your journey to Sundala Health Centre Lismore by hopping on the M1 Pacific Motorway and head south. The safest route, and the one that doesn't flood, is to stay on the M1 until you get to exit B60, which is the Bruxner Highway. It's well signposted on the M1, and it is next to Ballina. At the roundabout at the end of the B60 exit ramp take the third exit, towards Lismore. You'll bypass Alstonville and Wollongbar, then reach Goonellabah, one of Lismore's outer suburbs. You'll go through several roundabouts, just keep coming straight on. Stay on the Bruxner Highway, you'll end up coming down a hill off the ridge and into the city centre. Once you get to Molesworth street roundabout,  take the third exit, basically turning right.

A couple more roundabouts later  (we love roundabouts in Lismore) and you'll be in the CBD. Sundala Health Centre will be on your left hand side...Look out for our little herb and flower planter box garden out the front. There's free 2 hour parking in Molesworth street itself, otherwise there are a few free carparks around, none more than 5 minutes walk from Sundala Health Centre.
