The Jojoba Company CoQ10 Antioxidant Serum Review

Posted on 12 February 2014 by Marie Hunter

It wasn’t until recent years that I started to use and understand the value of a good face serum. While I have tried a few fabulous natural skin serums, The Jojoba Company CoQ10Antioxidant Serum is definitely my current favourite. Initially I was given a sample of this antioxidant serum and decided to make use of it on a weekend away, it was after a trip to the beach on a windy day that I first noticed the benefit of this facial serum as it helped to quickly bring proper hydration back to my weathered skin.  CoQ10 Antioxidant Serum

While I prefer to use the KISS principle when it comes to my skin care routine, I now use a skin serum at night before applying any moisturisers. The benefit with using a skin serum I have found is that your other products and moisturisers seem to work that little bit better, you need less moisturiser and it seems to absorb, or as I like to say ‘stick’ to the skin a bit better. The beauty of a good natural face serum like this one from The Jojoba Company is the ability of the serum to penetrate the deeper layer of skin to nourish and hydrate more completely.

The CoQ10 Antioxidant Serum contains only natural antioxidants such as green tea extract, Ginkgo biloba and Australian Quondong to protect against the visible signs of aging. Additional ingredients like the hyaluronic acid help with plumping your skin and Siberian ginseng, lecithin and aloe vera help to tone, smooth and firm your skin. When you first apply this serum you can smell the delicately sweet scent of the geranium oil and the silky texture seems to smooth the skin almost immediately. This serum penetrates the skin quite rapidly and I find that following with my face oil or cream moisturiser within a few minutes seems to prompt enhanced moisturisation and absorption into the skin.

Another feature of this particular face serum is the obvious presence of jojoba, which I have erroneously called an ‘oil’ in the past. Jojoba, I have learned is a wax ester, most similar to our own human skin waxes – so using it on your skin is a little different to using an oil and it is ideal for sensitive or oily skin too. All of The Jojoba Company skin care products are made with 100% Australian jojoba and natural ingredients. Their formulations are free from mineral oils, parabens and artificial fragrances and colours, are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal products, so they are suitable for those with sensitive skin, eco warriors and vegans alike.
