Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating Shampoo Review
Posted on 02 June 2016 by Leonie Satori
Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo is packed full of herbal extracts to cleanse and nourish your hair, and as a herbalist, I found it difficult to resist trying this herbal shampoo myself. No doubt, this natural tea tree shampoo has been around for yonks, and while I have tried some other hair products in the Giovanni Hair Care range, I am the first to admit that it has taken a while for me to detect this natural shampoo on my radar.
A Herb Rich Shampoo
As a herbalist, I am always on the lookout for interesting products that are well formulated with natural ingredients, especially herbs and herbal extracts. With everything from yarrow to chamomile, and sage to tea tree, this Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo has quite a range of medicinal herbs to support lustrous hair and a healthy scalp.
Using Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo
My first impression of this natural shampoo is of course the smell, you can notice the herbal extracts, the tea tree and the peppermint scent in this formula, but is is not too overwhelming. When using this product in the shower I noticed quite a good amount of foam, enough for me to feel that I was adequately washing my hair. My hair felt well cleansed, but not stripped of oils and I felt that when I conditioned my hair afterwards that the conditioner seemed to soak in a little more than usual. My hair felt quite clean and fresh afterwards and once dry, my hair was not frizzy or limp looking - which it has the tendency to do with many natural hair care products. I have been told on a few occasions that people can experience a little tingling sensation on their scalp when using this shampoo, I must admit that I did not notice any tingling at all.
On the packaging Giovanni Eco Chic Hair Care suggests that this natural shampoo is for all hair types, they state that this shampoo helps to increase circulation to the scalp and helps alleviate a dry and flaking scalp. These qualities can be attributed to herbal extracts of natural tea tree, yarrow and peppermint. Other botanical extracts including chamomile, coltsfoot, nettle, sage and thyme, sound not only good enough to eat, but also nourish and condition your hair, leaving it a little bit more shiny and healthy after shampooing.
Certified Organic Ingredients
Most of these herbal extracts in Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating Shampoo are USDA Certified Organic and it is these ingredients put together that create Giovanni hair care trademark Eco Chic Technology. Incorporating the elements of earth, wind, fire and water in their natural hair care products, Giovanni states that their products include a unique combination of certified organic botanicals, for hair with incredible style (and who are we to argue?).
As with all Giovanni Hair Care products, Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo carries the Cruelty Free logo. Giovanni do not add parabens, lauryl or laureth sulfate or dyes to their hair care range. In keeping with their suggested suitability for all hair types, this shampoo is good for fine or dry hair like mine, plus people with dry or flaking scalp conditions. The clarifying herbal extracts in this herbal shampoo also lend themselves well to combination hair types with oily hair and dry scalp.
Boldly, I would state that this is one of the best natural shampoos that I have used, which is why I have written this product review. I like that this shampoo is available in a little 60mL travel size, perfect for a weekend away. I wait in anticipation for my next holiday so that I can take a little bottle of Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo in my pack.
